Just left fat and happy after grabbing a couple of sandwiches for lunch! We had the smoked chicken bacon ranch cheesesteak and the brisket sandwich... both were absolutely banging! The smoked jalapeno slices in the cheesesteak were a delectable compliment to the rest of the sandwich. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu, highly recommend!

This is my favorite BBQ. It makes me very happy. I’’ from Richmond, lived in the northern neck and North Carolina, and let me say I know bbq, and so do these guys. The meat is cooked PERFECTLY. And the sauces show their knowledge of bbq recipes across the region. It easy to say I’m a huge fan of the place now. It’s MY bbq place now :)

This is a small establishment nested in a small strip mall. We almost missed it since the store frontage was behind trees from the road. I’m glad we took a second look. This is more of a takeout place but there are three small tables if you want to eat inside and one table outside. There is a reason this is the highest rated bbq in Richmond. The brisket was juicy and savory, the cole slaw was crisp and fresh, the baked beans were simply incredible and the mac and cheese was super creamy and seemed to have a slight smoky flavor back note. They try to be ecologically friendly and offer complimentary iced tea. Will definitely return asap. Service was great and very friendly. Very eclectic mix of music playing in the kitchen area.

I wanted a deep dish pizza so badly I drove 45 minutes to get here. I haven't tried it but the folks are lovely people. I'll update after Update: pizza was amazing. Worth the drive.

I had the most basic non traditional BBQ item on the Menu cuz it was my first time and I figured why not. Spend 10 first before I drop 100 NOW THIS PLACE IS if this brisket cheesesteak was this good, I cant wait to try other menu items. I also snagged a deep dish pepperoni which we'll eat for dinner tonight from the grab n go fridge. It had some WEIGHT to it. So excited! Ps. Complementary sweet tea.

This place is great! Pork fat typically makes me feel terrible, but not at this place! I assume it's because the pigs don't eat corn and soy(?). Anyway, it was the best BBQ I've ever had in VA! And I really appreciate John being transparent about the slaw not being seed oil free. (This is nearly impossible in a restaurant anyway.) Still, I really appreciate the extra effort to keep the seed oil to a minimum. Super hard to find. Lard fries were delicious. Will be back!

Not only is the food amazing, but I truly appreciate the quality of the beyond-organic meats, fries cooked in real lard, and other thoughtfully sourced local ingredients. I've tried most of the menu and have never been disappointed. It's incredibly hard to find restaurants that don't rely on industrial seed oils, so I'm grateful for this healthier, more conscious option. I'll definitely keep coming back!

When we got here before 1 PM on a Saturday, they were out of Brisket. My husband and I were bummed out. Luckily they had two serving of the Brisket Burnt Ends left, they were amazing. I had to say that it was my favorite. My son liked his Barbecue Beef Cheesesteak. I didn’t care for my Pork Cheesesteak, it had too much bread and not enough meat. The meat was slightly dry, I had to load the pork with lots of BBQ sauce for flavoring. We didn’t like the Brunswick Stew even though it was thick and filled with shredded pork. I would definitely go back just for the Brisket Burnt Ends.
